We created Warmth & Waves because we believe that nervous system regulation tools should be deeply intentional, beautifully designed, and accessible. To ensure that thoughtfully made grounding tools are within reach, we offer a free tier of our virtual studio, Bilateral Waves, alongside an upgraded subscription that invites expanded design settings for deeper visual customization and enhanced sensory options.

Intentional Design, Thoughtfully Crafted for You

Our platform is designed to support healing both inside and outside the therapy room. We offer a professional workspace for clinicians and an individual version that anyone can sign up for independently to support their daily, personal self-care practice.

When we designed this platform, our focus was on creating a digital environment that feels like a natural and grounding extension of a comforting healing space. We chose soft and organic visual elements, calming color palettes, and an intuitive layout. We wanted the entire experience to feel warm and inviting for individuals navigating their personal healing journey and for practitioners who are holding space and providing care.

Chantell Smeisser, LCSW

Founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

EMDRIA Certified Therapist & Approved Consultant

Chantell's daily work involves guiding complex trauma processing and consulting for advanced clinicians. This firsthand experience gave her a deep understanding of how both physical and structural spaces influence a person's sense of safety. Driven by a desire to bring that same intentionality into the digital world, Chantell guides the clinical direction, brand voice, and operational infrastructure of Warmth & Waves. She oversees the design of every system, visual element, and color palette so that the entire platform reflects the neurobiology of grounding and protects the clinical heart of the Bilateral Waves studio.

Jarod Fedele

Founder, Chief Product & Audio Engineer (CPAE)

Jarod is the creative and technical force responsible for bringing the fluid vision of Bilateral Waves into reality. As Chief Product & Audio Engineer, he focuses on seamless software execution, intuitive user flows, and sensory immersion. Beyond architecting the core platform code, Jarod is an experienced composer who personally creates all of the curated and organic soundscapes for the studio. By pairing reliable engineering with immersive audio design, he ensures that the visual and auditory elements of Bilateral Waves work together to create a deeply comforting experience.

Edward Jason Valdez, LCSW

Outreach & Community Coordinator

Jason supports Warmth & Waves through grounded outreach and community connection. As an EMDR-trained clinician, he brings clinical empathy into the earliest touchpoints of our user experience. He helps new users feel welcomed into our space and contributes thoughtful guidance that strengthens our visual and relational presence. Through his outreach and community engagement work, Jason reinforces the welcoming foundation of Warmth & Waves.
